The 2025 edition of the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) has been released. According to the current report, Notes on Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics (NNTDM) achieved a Journal Impact Factor (JIF) of 0.5 and a Journal Citation Indicator (JCI) of 0.42.
The journal retained its Q3 position in Web of Science for a second consecutive year. In the JIF-based ranking, NNTDM occupies position 362 among 492 journals in the Mathematics category, corresponding to a percentile of 26.5. In the JCI-based ranking, the journal is positioned 353 among 492 journals, corresponding to a percentile of 28.35. While the JIF percentile decreased compared to the previous report, the JCI percentile increased slightly, indicating a largely stable position relative to other journals in the category.

The report also reflects the journal’s continuous adherence with the open-access publishing. More than 94% of citable items published during the relevant three-year period were open access, while over 93% of citations were directed to open-access content.
These results have been achieved within a publishing model that remains entirely academic and non-commercial. NNTDM is owned by the academic community it serves and relies on the voluntary efforts of editors, reviewers and Editorial Board members, while continuing to provide freely access to its published content.

According to the JCR data, NNTDM accumulated 257 citations in the current report. The cited half-life of 4.7 years indicates that a substantial share of citations is directed towards relatively recent publications, while the citing half-life of 15.5 years reflects the long citation horizons characteristic of the published mathematical research.
The journal continues to attract contributions from a broad international community. During the most recent three-year period, the largest numbers of published papers originated from the top 10 countries Türkiye, India, Bulgaria, United States, Australia, Romania, P. R. China, Algeria, Brazil and Spain.

The most notable outcome of the 2025 report is the preservation of the journal’s Q3 position for a second consecutive year. At the same time, the report points to a stable citation profile, a slight improvement in the JCI-based ranking, an open-access publication model, and a continuing internationalization of the journal’s authorship.
